President’s Message  –  November, December 2025

Hello fellow Moparians,

Merry Christmas and Happy New Years! I hope Santa brings you plenty of car parts.  So we’ll get right down to business…. Getting on track with Board of Directors elections.   The way our club constitution reads, the membership nominates and elects up to 2 new BOD positions each year. The BOD positions are for 3 years. Officers are President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer. These positions will be elected by the BOD within 60 days of the BOD election. Now, I used to think that changing officers each year was not a good idea. However, after serving and in reviewing the reality of the by-laws, it does not mean the officers will only serve a year but it does give the BOD the flexibility to change if there are viable candidates available. Viable candidates and nominations is the operative term in this entire diatribe…. We need some. Help your club preserve and promote history by nominating yourself or someone else willing to serve. Your club has made many fantastic strides this year but there is still much work to be done. I would really like to see more regions and figure out a better way to highlight each region and it’s activities in the national WPC News. Anyway, here is the official verbiage from the by-laws..   SECTION 3: During the month of January of each year, a nominating committee consisting of two or more members shall be appointed by the President, with the advise and consent of the Board of Directors. Members must have been members for at least two years before running for the Board of Directors. All members in good standing shall be given the opportunity to submit their names to the nominating committee for consideration as nominees for Directors. The nominating committee shall report to the Board of Directors not later than the first day of April, the names of all members who have duly volunteered as nominees, along with the committee’s recommendations for final nominations. The Board of Directors shall then make the final nominations for
prospective Directors whose names shall be on the annual election ballot.  Our nominating committee at this point consists of our fantastic long time Secretary, Barb Weiser. Please send your nominations via email to Barb at jmoparman@sbcglobal.net These need to be in by March 15th. I will be making another call for them in the next issue as well.  Moving forward, we are all anxiously awaiting motoring season once again or if you are in the southern hemisphere, you are currently enjoying it.
Happy touring,

Bill Adams,   Oakdale, California

Editor’s Message  – November / December 2025:

Greetings Fellow Moparians,

The new year, 2026, is upon us. Let it usher in health, happiness and good things Mopar.
In this issue of the WPC NEWS, we welcome new members into our fold. We aspire that our club will inspire them to become Mopar Nuts and that they share the same passion for the marque that we all do.
WPC NEWS feature article is a Richard Truesdell piece highlighting the 1969 Dodge Charger 500. Also, an interesting vehicle, a 1953 Dodge Coronet Suburban wagon built for the NHRA circuit provides us with a blast from the past.
WPC NEWS wants to apologize for the late printing that has come to your mailbox. A lot of factors from all sides of the process had come to a trailhead. It has taken a while to sort it out and get back in track.
You may notice that the WPC NEWS, for this issue, is smaller in page length. The magazine is under a kind of state of flux, now. We have been trying to enhance your reader experience by highlighting more Mopar eras, better readability, slicker photos, etc. for each printing. It has been a struggle. Raising costs are a huge factor in getting the magazine to your mailbox. Costs have nearly doubled in the 6 years since I have taken over the reins as editor.
We have received much feedback re the last couple of issues, as to our efforts. Most were very positive about the new direction, some, not so. The world as we know it, is rapidly changing. AI is influencing all aspects. It is growing and evolving every day in what we read and what we see. We tried to use some AI inspired photography as an experiment the last issue. We called it out, that we were doing this, to gauge our reader’s reactions. Some liked it. It was glossy and slick. Others decried it’s authenticity. AI is a work in progress. It is a reality. For now, we will dial back on that direction.
WPC Club is aware that this publication is a major part of where your yearly membership dues are used. Our goal, therefore, is to give you “more bang for your buck”. The WPC Board of Directors are in the process of determining how we will achieve this. We welcome any input from you, our readers, as to what you would like to see in the future issues.  Please drop me a line.

On that note,
Yours in Happy Motoring,
Frank Pascoe,  Editor WPC News.

EDITOR’S  Foot-NOTE:

WPC NEWS brought this up last issue, but it bears repeating. The Swap Meet ads grow in each issue and are
becoming somewhat unwieldly to handle. Starting this year, 2024, ad placers will be limited to 6 issues from
the date of the first submission for each category. ( you are allowed one ad per category for each issue). After 6
issues, if you want to continue your ad, you must resubmit them to this magazine. If you had to pay extra for your
ad, based on the guidelines provided, you will also have to submit that payment again. After 6 issues if the ad is
not reinstituted, it will be eliminated. Thank you for your cooperation.

A REMINDER to please send to my address or email ONLY: Swap Meet written ads or written articles for the
magazine. PLEASE DO NOT SEND ME ANY MONIES FOR THE ADS AND PLEASE DO NOT SEND ME
MONEY FOR MEMBERSHIP RENEWALS, all funds must be sent ONLY to the WPC CLUB treasurer as follows:
