President’s Message – May-June 2025
100-year-old greetings fellow Chrysler aficionados.
Well, here we are… Time to get ready for our big shindig. The Chrysler 100. Held at and in conjunction with Chryslers at Carlisle. I’ve got to say, working with the staff at Carlisle Events has been a fantastic experience. I can see why they have become the tip of the spear in automotive event planning.
As I keep saying from my soapbox here, our shared goal in the club is to promote our passion by organizing and most importantly, to preserve history for posterity. With this grand celebration, I hope we are doing just that. This has also given us a fantastic opportunity to work more closely with our members and our regions.
The national club is nothing without these. We need to do a better job of engaging with our regions to further the interests of both. We will be. Another thing this event has done is given us the opportunity to work closely with other national Mopar clubs.I have been preaching for years that we need to come together at some level.
I know each organization has it’s own DNA and idiosyncrasies but we can and should at least coordinate activities to the extent that it’s possible. The relationships built via this planning process should help us all work together towards this goal. We highly value these relationships and foresee great coordination happening. The joint meet with the Plymouth Owners Club and the Walter P. Chrysler Club is highly anticipated and should be a fantastic opportunity to share our shared passions. I would like to also invite all other Chrysler enthusiasts to participate.
The clubs are the essential glue that holds this together. In order to properly preserve this rich history, we must be able to formally organize. It hasn’t been that long ago that many of us had eight to 10 magazine subscriptions. Well that has certainly diminished recently. When you join a club, you also get the newsletter/magazine and you are supporting the organization of your passion. So if you have an Imperial, join that club and the WPC club. If you have a Plymouth, join the POC and the WPC. A DeSoto? Join the national DeSoto club and the WPC. Support your passion and those who spend a lot of time helping to organize. And, if so inclined, get involved.
Speaking of organizing, this event has taken a great amount of organizing for all of our pleasure. When is the last time there have been so many significant Chrysler products all together. Never before? Not sure when a Chrysler built tank and a Turbine Car were ever shown together. They will be in Carlisle. Those that have never experienced a 1932-1933 Custom Imperial, feast your eyes on their absolute beauty and craftsmanship. Airflows, these engineering marvels are the gift that keep on giving. The more you look, the better they get. So many fantastic examples to behold in the special display area and in the multiple buildings and displays all over Carlisle Fairgrounds and Expo Center. This even regularly exceeds 3,000 vehicles shown. Is this one going to be 3,500 or even 4,000? Either way it will be good for our passion and will definitely help to preserve our shared history.
I anticipate being busy but please feel free to introduce yourself if you can, I would love to get to know as many members as possible. It’s also nice to know I am not going to be lonely in the insane asylum we call our hobby.

Editor’s Message – May – June – 2025
Greetings fellow Chrysler Enthusiasts,
I am writing this message as my wife and I cross the high seas on our three week voyage to Rome, Italy. We are celebrating our 51st wedding anniversary. The sun is in my eyes and the deck of the ship is rolling. As such, my letter will be somewhat short.
This issue is the last one in your mailboxes before another great anniversary, Chrysler’s 100th anniversary celebration that will take place during the Carlisle Chrysler Nationals this July. We will celebrate Ma Mopar’s 100th anniversary in grand fashion. We will also anticipate the next 100… please look for updates to the event in this issue.
We welcome once again, new members, to our fold. Great to have you with us and encourage you to participate in your region’s events.
You will notice that this issue has a different format. The WPC NEWS hopes to expand our magazine content, to attract new readers and broaden the scope of the hobby to include all decades of vehicles from Chrysler history. We plan to feature articles in each issue, covering the different eras of Chrysler history. We hope to increase the amount of pages (we’ve added four to this issue and hope to add four more with the publication of the next issue), have glossy photos and make the magazine to appear just like a newstand publication.
Most of all we would like to hear from you, our membership. If you own and drive something that others might like to read about, tell us your joys and/or struggles that you have experienced in the pursuit of keeping your pride and joy on the road or in your collection. Please submit your materials to Readers Rides to share with the membership. A short 300-word essay and five great photos are all we need to make your car a star in the pages of WPC NEWS. Just as we work to improve the WPC NEWS I am asking all the regions that make up our international club to submit events happening in your area. In this way members who live outside your area will be encouraged to cross regions to participate in your events.
So, dust ‘em off, get ‘em out there and fire ‘em up…
Yours in Mopar Motoring,
Frank T.Pascoe, Editor, WPC News.
EDITOR’S Foot-NOTE:
WPC NEWS brought this up last issue, but it bears repeating. The Swap Meet ads grow in each issue and are
becoming somewhat unwieldly to handle. Starting this year, 2024, ad placers will be limited to 6 issues from
the date of the first submission for each category. ( you are allowed one ad per category for each issue). After 6
issues, if you want to continue your ad, you must resubmit them to this magazine. If you had to pay extra for your
ad, based on the guidelines provided, you will also have to submit that payment again. After 6 issues if the ad is
not reinstituted, it will be eliminated. Thank you for your cooperation.
A REMINDER to please send to my address or email ONLY: Swap Meet written ads or written articles for the
magazine. PLEASE DO NOT SEND ME ANY MONIES FOR THE ADS AND PLEASE DO NOT SEND ME
MONEY FOR MEMBERSHIP RENEWALS, all funds must be sent ONLY to the WPC CLUB treasurer as follows:
